This study focuses on the collaborative efforts of 15 Iowa community colleges in the Iowa Advanced Manufacturing Consortium project from 2012 to 2016, where they worked together to develop and expand the number and types of credentials offered. Implementing Healthcare Career Pathway Training Programs in Rural Settings
Healthcare career pathway training addresses workforce development challenges in rural settings. This brief explores education and training implementation activities performed by Tribal Health Profession Opportunity Grant 2.0 grantees. Successful partnership approaches involve collaboration among higher education institutions and adult education centers, while program delivery includes accessible financial assistance for transportation, convenient training, and options for distance education. These efforts increased healthcare training opportunities and improved access to services in remote areas. Recommendations suggest expanding partnerships and enhancing program accessibility to empower healthcare professionals in rural communities.

Rural Apprenticeships for Young People
In the face of persistent employment challenges in rural communities, youth apprenticeships prove instrumental in retaining local talents and fueling economic growth. This report evaluates successful strategies utilized by four rural registered apprenticeship programs in Maine, Arizona, Missouri, and Mississippi, highlighting the benefits they offer, such as expanded opportunities and enriched communities. Additionally, the report examines the obstacles these programs face, including travel distance and limited resources. By adopting effective strategies from these successful programs, other rural communities can develop similar initiatives to empower their youth and foster economic growth.
